20th April 2014
Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip
Wind Direction: NE
Wind Stength: 15-18kts
Surf / Sea State: Bumpy choppy
Air Temperature: cool
Sea Temperature: cool
Weather: cool / cloudy
Max Speed: 23.99 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 12.3 nm (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Forecasts was about right even though the place looked dire and uninvitng with rain when I arrived about 10 hoping to beat high tide. NE wind was cold, but DC went out on 7.8, Rog 7.5 so rigged 7.7 Hellcat / 146 JP pro XC ride. Tried to get a early GPS run in - lost shed loads down wind, so gave that up after clocking only 23.99kts with a 50cm fin (wrong choice)
I was uncomfortable in the whole session -in the rough sea and never got set.
DC, Swainey Ian Rog was going OK, Steve was under on 7.0M. Kept falling off on the outside, dont know why, harness lines weren't right and my **cking Indestructible North I tendon broke when a flimsy 6mm screw in the tendon pulled itself thru - **cking long swim, thanks Ian Swainey and Rog for the rescue. Changed to North gear for quality.........
Windsurfing def need sun
